My name is Kathrin Caiger [/kɒtrɪnkeɪʤə/]. I am a German translator living in the beautiful South of England and used to the fact that I have two unusual names nobody ever spells or pronounces correctly. 🙂
I am passionate about languages, etymology and grammar (Yes, you heard me!) and absolutely love being able to work from home while translating the most fascinating documents with a gorgeous view over the English Channel (if it’s not too misty). With a genius of a husband who holds a top-class degree in German translation (as a Brit!) it comes as no surprise that our girls are raised bilingually.
I feel truly privileged to be able to run my own translation business whilst always being there for my girls. This blog is a collection of my musings which evolve around the topics I feel most strongly about, such as languages, self-employment and the challenge of switching off, bilingualism, traveling and, of course!, my beautiful girls.
Hope you enjoy reading!
